Using specific examples from the film: Explain how Gandhi helped his nation of India gain Independence from Great Britain. What were some of the things that he did? Mahatma Ghandi meaning great soul what was what they called Ghandi. Ghandi was a political leadre to India during the years that Britian was on control of India. Ghandi encourage Indians to boycott britsig goods anfd to buy Indians good instead. Ghandi did not use violence against the british because it only send out a negative reaction.
